Biogennix, an osteobiologics company that develops, manufactures, and distributes proprietary bone graft products used for bone fusion procedures, releases its new Agilon Strip bone grafting product.

Developed with Biogennix’s proprietary TrelCor technology, Agilon Strip is the first collagen strip product introduced by Biogennix. Agilon Strip rounds out the company’s, TrelCor-based product line-up, joining its granule, block, and moldable bone graft product offerings.

Agilon Strip is designed to maximize direct contact with a bone when implanted, boasting one of the highest granule-to-strip ratios on the market. The dense packing of TrelCor granules within the Agilon Strip allows it to rapidly (within seconds) absorb fluid, transforming into a flexible strip that can be implanted in its original form or easily divided into smaller pieces. Additionally, the interconnected porous architecture maximizes its fluid retention capabilities and makes the product highly resistant to compression.

Dr. Clay Shors, President and Co-Founder, Biogennix, said: “Based on the enthusiastic feedback we’ve received from surgeons and distributors, we anticipate the Agilon Strip to be a significant addition to our product offering for the spine, extremity, and general orthopedic procedures. We know that many surgeons like to work with strips, so we decided to develop what we believe is the best collagen strip on the market. This strip is densely packed, with granules which surgeons love, and has all the same healing benefits as our other established product lines.”

Agilon Strip is FDA cleared for use in general orthopedics and spine procedures and can blend with BMA and autograft. Agilon Strip is available in sizes medium (50mm x 25mm) or large (100mm x 25mm).
