CUREXO’s CUVIS-joint receives the EEA CE mark

CUREXO, Inc., a medical robot company, developed CUVIS-joint artificial joint surgical robot that received the EEA CE mark. CUVIS-joint was MFDS certified in June last year and provided to national general hospitals, orthopedic hospitals, and even Meril Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., India.

In early March, Sakra World Hospital carried out 100 successful total knee replacement surgeries using the Meril-CUVIS joint robotics system and is conducting 10 operations weekly. Followed by Sakra World Hospital, SAI hospital is in readiness for operations as CUVIS-joint. CUREXO, with the CE mark, will be able to expand its market throughout Europe, Australia and parts of Asia as it has done in the previous year in the domestic and Indian markets. 

Jaejun Lee, CEO, CUREXO, said: “We are pleased to see that we were approved for CE marking earlier than we expected. We expected the approval to take place in the second quarter of the year. We plan to promote partnerships with implant and medical companies, in Europe and proceed to the signing of agreements. Additionally, we expect a positive result for our expansion in the global market in 2021 with our early approval ”
